Very serious business grackle >:I

THIS IS GORGEOUS OKAY.

We have them all over around here (partly because mum always keeps a well-stocked feeder). The only ones I don't care to see as much are the little Starlings because they're annoying, mean to the other birds, and they always somehow manage to get into our house and get stuck behind something and then DIE so there's this stinky gross bird-carcass ;~;

To be fair though we live in a 300-ish year old house that's been under pretty constant construction for the past... 18 years, so there's bound to be bits of the house that aren't properly sealed.

It's actually kinda depressing (but also not) because I really just don't like the Starlings (they're so MEAN- they always gang up and chase off the other birds). We've had so many neat species stop by.

At my grandparent's old house, grandma always fed the hummingbirds so she had a whole fleet of ruby-throated hummingbirds who came around every spring (and my goodness are they feisty!)

The best moment I've ever had was having a wild nuthatch land right on my hand. Although, nuthatches are pretty brave and feisty, so it made sense that it'd be the one to do it.

No kidding, but I feel so fortunate because they are entertaining to watch.

Aww, they're such fun birds. They're one of the many species who frequent our yard, but I always love watching them play. ^_^

I love the Great Tailed Grackles in Texas. They're quite characterful and fun to watch. I can't wait for the Scissortailed Flycatchers to start migrating back to central tx. They're so cool!

Gads alive this makes me wanna have my avian/gryphon alternate forms be grackle-based all the more now. X3
