My little pet jumping spider Fluff having a good look around.
She is a female Hyllus Giganteus.

If you're in the US I imagine it would be quite easy to find a breeder online and have one delivered. Or you could go to bug expos and you'll probably find at least one stall that sells them - that's what I did. Learning to care for Fluff was a combination of online guides and exotic pet forums, direct advice from the breeder I bought from, and my own trial and error. For example jumpers within the same species can have very individual food preferences. I tried flies and crickets with Fluff before discovering that she loves mini-mealworms. :3
Well, I don't want to see your appalling grammar and spelling, but I guess I don't have a choice either.
Don't like? Don't comment. Simple as.
Jumping spiders are magnificent creatures, and people would likely be less fearful of them if they did a little research on jumpers. They are very unlike other spiders- jumping spiders are actually very friendly and inquisitive and easy to tame, and arguably I would say they make much better pets than even tarantulas do.
I understand that people are still going to be afraid of things, but that doesn't make it right to go posting rude comments about them. Your profile says you're 14, though, so I guess I won't chew you out *too* much- but think about what you post, okay? The things you say can be hurtful and rude to others.

*heavy sigh*
I know. Hence why I was fairly nice about it. While arachnophobia leads to a knee-jerk reaction in some (which I do fully understand- my husband is very much arachnophobic despite my gentle teachings to him) there's still some social grace of just... not saying anything XD
Agreed, but then again, I routinely see people who are older than me who still don't quite have the grasp of spelling like they should. I understand grammar fails to an extent (as sentence phrasing really depends on the dialect) but spelling should be no excuse. Punctuation and proper spelling are friends! (Really, I more brought them up to kinda make a point- as I'm sure you grasped!)

No. FA does not update your age, you have to do it manually.
It's a SPIDER. It's not some grotesque thing. Whether you want to see it or not, it takes some tact to realize "Hmm. There are other people who would like to see this; so while I personally don't like it, I will just act like a mature person and click away" rather than making a whiny comment about it.
No offense, "kid", but I don't give a shit whatever "mental health" problems you have going on. Whatever mental health problem you do or do not have (sorry, but a lot of people like to use their mental disabilities as an excuse- like you're attempting to do here) is no reason to make rude-ass comments.
If you do have a mental disability? Don't use it as an excuse. It's disgusting and rude to other people who have the same disability. OWN IT. Learn to manage it. Realize that it's gonna cause you problems, but don't whine about it.
At this rate, I don't need to "learn life more" (which, again, is SO grammatically wrong it's painful). At this point, I'm almost 1.5 times your age. I guarantee I have "learned life more" than you have. I'm sorry, but when you hit 18 and start facing the real world as an adult, you can talk to me. Until then, maybe mommy and daddy need to revoke your internet privileges until you learn to act with some grace.

I never said you don't have problems.
But you know what? You're 15. Your problems don't come anywhere close to what an adult deals with, I'm sorry.
I have ADHD and have battled with depression/suicidal thoughts since I was your age. My husband has a genetic medical condition that is slowly killing him. We are in way more debt than people our age should be
You don't have to worry about debt, kid. You don't have to worry about being homeless. You don't have to worry about whether or not you'll get your medication that you need to stay alive (sorry, but as an adult with highlevel ADHD, I don't *have*.to have medications to live).
My father is disabled. My grandmother is going deaf and my grandfather is going blind and had a stroke last year.
The year before that, we watched as my husband's mother died of cancer.
The year before that? I lost not one but two beloved lifelong pets in the span of a month.
So once again- I didn't say you don't have problems; but the fact is, you're *15*. You don't have to worry about most of your problems yet.

Sadly, yes. If you scroll down the the bottom of the page and click on "Terms of Service", you will see-
"3.1 - You agree that you are at least thirteen (13) years of age. No individual under the age of thirteen (13) may register an account, use our services, provide any personal information to Fur Affinity, or otherwise upload or transmit personal information through our services (e.g. Name, address, telephone number, email address)."
Honestly that kinda creeps me out. It's one thing to see young kids on Facebook or Deviantart (because, honestly, Facebook and Deviantart have pretty strict NSFW guidelines. There's still always gonna be one or two things that sneak under the radar, but not quite the same as here on FA).
Given the amount of adult/semi-adult/questionable artwork that is posted to this site (and commission services offered through this site) I'm surprised they don't have more strict guidelines for age-requirements (as in, I'm kinda surprised they haven't at least bumped the minimum age up to like... 16).
Sadly, it doesn't matter whether they bump the age up or not- stupid kids will be stupid kids and will lie about their age. *sighs*

I think so too in all honesty.
I mean, yes- there is indeed plenty of SFW stuff. However, I don't quite understand the point of a minor being on the site anyway- most artists will not (knowingly) do transactions with them in the first place- because if anything happens, the minor themselves can't be held accountable.
I guess what I'm saying is this- a)I think 13 is too young for most of the content on this site and b)because of the content and the fact that someone of that age cannot enter into a business transaction in the first place, I really don't see any *point* to them being on the site.

I agree that 13 ia way too young. I think there would be a big uproar though if they raised the age to 18 . but I wonder.. isn't there some liability if a minor sees "porn" and then their parents find out and then wouldn't the website get in trouble??
You are right though, it is a moot point because people will lie anyways unless they do something like a MU that I was on did and actually send in a proof of age.. but in all honestly eve that could prolly be faked somehow.
