Here are information and summary of story about Hans's parents, wrote by my girlfriend Naminelight on dA
Victor - Hans's father :
He is very strong, has a dominant even slightly frightening impression on others, stays very true to his homeland and is a complete military guy. Victor is a bit of a gruff man, stays very serious all the time though he had a sweetspot for his cheerful wife, mostly listening and complying to what she wanted and said though that changed a lot once she died. Victor completely shut off then, becoming very cold hearted and hateful, trying hard to make his son strong and smart then so he'd be always be able to protect himself though he often was a bit too hard on his young child, making lot of mistakes in parenting on his own then that affected Hans's life a lot. He also became very distrustful towards penguins, despicing them even completely.
Lucie - Hans's mother :
She was a very kind hearted, mind-strong, joyful and sweet person. Always was very joyful and caring and even if she was not physically as strong as her mate she still tried hard to protect those she cared about.
She died as she tried to protect her son Hans.
How Victor and Lucie met and fell in love:
How they fell in love was a bit of a more simple story.
Victor was training with a group of young soldiers, all including him being beginners there still though Victor already has been a promising candidate for the future of the military.
But that day he was just training and trying his best as always as he only by coincidence spotted a beautiful female puffin that seemed to catch all his attention. There had always been a lot of female birds watching the other male birds train but no one caught his eye before, Victor only being interested in making a good job. But Victor rather decided shaking his interest off of her as he only saw her walking by and it was stupid for him to develop feelings there though that also didn't work well as he strangely began to slack off at his training and simple missions. It made him become quite frustrated and he began to train more at night to hopefully catch up again but he only became tired from it and was not able to show his progress through it.
And even though he was training while it rained, stormed and snowed it didn't help, sure he did become strong but unfocused. And at one rainy night as he once again was training hard he was slowly losing hope, leaning his head grumpily against a training doll and get soaked by the rain. But there suddenly stopped the water hitting his body even though it still rained and he turned to check what was going on as he noticed an umbrella was keeping the rain away from him and once he turned he to his surprise saw Lucie standing there. (there I'll leave it be and maybe will write a short story about it~~ X3)
They then fell deeply in love with each other and in the end got Hans, Victor having probably never been that happy before in his life.
How Lucie died:
First off I'm still thinking about how it was excactly but here is how I mostly plan it.
The thing is that since the beginning of Victor's training days, Victor had been friends with a penguin.
They even had become best friends over time, the penguin being there most parts in his live.
But sadly the more promoted Victor got in his position being close to be the newest and youngest general of the military in Denmark,
other began to see him as danger for them and decided to do something about it and for this they choose Victor's best friend to be the one to do the job.
And again sadly the penguin didn't dare to go against his higher ups and chose to do the dirty job and with this was set on assassinating Victor's family.
The puffin found out about the plans but was too late and could only safe his son after Lucie gave her best to protect their baby already.
Victor fell into a complete rage then and also killed the one who killed his wife and mate for life and therefore also killed the man he called his best friend.
With a heavy heart he had to say goodbye to his love and take their son with him, taking care of him on his own. Also becoming the coldhearted and dangerous man he is today.
That's the reason why he become to despise penguins so much, especially Skipper as he get's reminded of his once best friend by him. (I mostly am still deciding if Victor's best friend was actually Skipper's real father or not)
