Decided to toy around with Sonic character designs some more!

Knuckles: The mission statement here is “big meaty.” I wanted to really exaggerate his proportions to drive home that he’s STRONG. I gave him rounder eyes to give him a bit of a naive look.

Sonic: I made him overall more pointy and angular to show that he’s quick. The scarf is there to give him sort of a super-hero-cape-y kinda look. Any character is cooler if they have an article of clothing billowing in the wind.

Tails: I wanted to make him look more bookish and “nerdy,” and a bit more of a physical foil to Sonic, so I gave him glasses, gadgets, and gave him a rounder, pudgier body.

It’s actually really fun to mess around with designs like this!
