Thanks to Menagerie Workshop (
SarahDee),
Kishfox and I have our very first fursuits ever!!! We just got them yesterday and of course had to try them on.
It's a 3/4 suit, so I'll need to wear a shirt and shorts with it, but I love how it came out! He's just adorable ^.^
I'll be wearing it around at AC when I'm not stuck in Artist Alley XD And hopefully Kish and I will start being able to get to other conventions as well.
Here are a few more photos of it =)

Another greymuzzle finally has given in to the new trend of youngsters that think, you are not a furry without having a fursuit?
Ok, I am just kidding to rant between the lines about some stuff that changed in Furry Fandom or I just start to get old and this are th first signs of grumpyness after 15 years of being in the fandom.
To get serious to the end of my comment:
How comes after all those years that you now got yourself a fursuit, Taurin? And then you started with such an awesome looking one!

Why does a red fox needs ice packs for his dick? Perhaps to sit on them okay but if you raise the tail why is the dick inflicted? *looks confused because foxes and natural bottoms and stuff* (explaining jokes to make them boring ... stuff I do for a living)
Taking a closer look ... how is your plan even possible. Fox and fox together... how do you do it anyways if you are both male?
Does any of you even know how to start if there is no non-fox to ... well ... be in the position you foxes are waiting for? =o_Ô=

Yea, I wanted it for a while but he gave me the push I really needed to make it a reality ^.^ I don't buy into the idea that one needs a fursuit to be a real furry. Lots of people contribute to the fandom in their own way, and I tend to see people who don't think they're "something" until they have a fursuit as shortsighted as best. It's become an artificial bar to measure one's worthiness in the fandom. I see people obsess over it and I feel bad for them because I think they're missing the point of being a furry, where simply identifying as such should encourage acceptance in and of itself. That being said, my own motivations basically come down to it being something I haven't experienced yet, have always been curious about, and I think it will be fun =) My message to those people fretting over not having a fursuit would be this. If you really want to contribute to the fandom, find something unique to offer. Fursuits are WAY more affordable and WAY more prevalent than they've ever been. Sure, it might make not having one make you feel like an outcast if it seems like everyone else has one, but guess what, the prevalence means that simply having a fursuit no longer makes you unique. If you want to distinguish yourself, then come up with an idea that hasn't been explored in the fandom before. If you don't WHO CARES? just enjoy being a part of the fandom. There's no shame in that. For many of us, "grey muzzles" getting into furry at it's early years was more than we'd ever dreamed of. I mean come on, to finally find a community we identified with which accepted us without question and treated complete strangers as family because we shared that common identity? It was amazing! No fursuit required. Just honesty. Bottom line; furry isn't a competition, it's a community. Enjoy it for what it is ^.^
Thanks for all that words, Taurin. You tell the words I carry in my heart and have often spoken out loud since september 1999 when I found Furry Fandom on IRC (Yiffnet back in those days, aaaah memories... :' ).
"Bottom line; furry isn't a competition, it's a community. Enjoy it for what it is."
So frikkin' this.
But I got to pour some dirty water in your tasty red whine you just gave us here with that words.
You talk about the ideal fandom. Sadly it has been all the time drama and negativity in our fandom Too much tolerance against people who bring poison in their hearts in the group. Too many people who just take the fun and friendship and the good time Furries share and not giving something back. And in giving back I do not mean being artists, wearing fursuits or organizing cons. I mean just being there and being a positive part of the communitiy. Even many greaymuzzles who started to do stuff for our community changed over the time to negative beings that suck positive energy out of the fandom in feeling themselfes as somehow more worthy because thy organize (or take part in organizing) a con or because they have gotten some fame with their art or whatever.
I am no christian but the deadly sins describe it very well. And so many of us grey muzzles are, als all human beings, are tempted by those.
When envy comes in place so many behave like little childs in the bodies of adults. They have fights on a very dangerous level, because they have the opportunities of grown-ups but do not know sometimes how to stop. They try to get rid of some people they personally do not like and if they have a whatever celebrety factor in the fandom they got enough "friends" (aka fanboys or bootlickers) that just got the same opinion like them without thinking about that.
Our fandom has never been and is also today no peaceful group of joy and no Garden of Eden. It is from my point of view sometimes a very rotten place. But just little Furs allow themselfes to see. People do not like to see a truth that is no fun. Seeing a negativity also means that you got to do work to make it better and that would be tiring. Another reason why so many Furs just want to see all the good stuff and shut their eyes close against the wide spreading negativity we just like to blabber away by giving each other a pat of the back because we are all so awesome.
What you said, Taurin, is the ideal of the Furry Fandom I also have experienced back in those days when I found the Fandom.
Over the years this rose-coloured glasses got smashed many times and I always looked for glue to but them together.
Some years ago I finally stopped glueing that illusion back together and allowed myself to admit that Furry Fandom is nothing better or worse than the rest of society.
But I see after all those years that at least we seem to have a bigger quota of people that try to be not like the always fully of envy, full of anger and full of hate society.
Sometimes it is hard to see because the negative people tend to me better visible. They tend to be louder. And they tend to be deeper in the memory because especially if you got in contact with them and were a target of people I described the pain got deep into yourself. To train oneself to unlearn that bad experiences is hard work and you need a strong will to remember the reason why you stayed here in the first place. Nevertheless what people did to you.
To make a summary:
Yes, you are perfectly right in all what you say in my humble opinion, Taurin. I just wanted to add the also existing really sad side of us to that. You should never forget that life is also full of pain. Not because you should cry all day and forget to have fun in life but to be prepared for situations you need strength in life to live through tough times.
Sometimes being in Furry Fandom can be a great way to got through those times. Sometimes being in Furry Fandom is the reason to have such times.
All the time you just got to go on and just be thankful to be alive to be able to make experiences. Whatever experiences they are.
Because life is just this: It's living.

I'm not sure, since I only own a partial. But I would assume that if you want to wear a shirt on a full suit, it should be at least a size or two larger than your regular size, depending on how tightly the suit fits you. I usually see full-suiters wearing overly large things like sports jerseys, or button-down shirts/vests that can be open in the front.
Gah! I really should do my research next time, as I missed several people in the artist alley this year.
I'll have to stop by next year and say hello then!
Regarding your suit, it looks most excellent! A lot of life to it thanks to the vibrant eyes and airbrushed details. The whiskers are a lovely detail, not a lot of suits with 'em from what I've seen.
