Picked up an AKM type I bayonet at a swap meet on Saturday.
I know I overpaid for it but between the cleaner blade, the 11 notches carved into the scabbard, and the markings on the rubber insulator, (since the Russians were clever enough to insulate the user from shock when using the built-in wire cutter on electrified wires) I simply had to have it.
I will clean the blade, but I don't want to ruin the character of the sheath, so that'll most likely stay as-is.
[Haven't done much photography that's been up to snuff lately. I like this enough to post, so here you go.]
