From the "Still too busy to draw" month - more ancient art...

Thought i'd post another pic on the theme of conjuring or summoning - this one from June '77. A sort of crying Earth Goddess type summons a destructive demon from a meadow of grass and flowers, the sky clouded over behind her. The basic idea was how nature is both beautiful and feirce - forest fires, earthquakes (as in Nepal today), plagues, famines, extinctions...Little semi-hidden detail: the "spikes" of the nimbus of energy around the demon are the torsos of writing fairy spirits whose energy is being converted into the demon....

Hands and parts of the drawing are a bitt off cuz it was only roughly penciled. i was experimenting with this inking style late '76 to early '78 - the idea being that shaded areas were filled with a sort of stained-glass like abstract pattern that, when coloured would each have a differend colour....
