Stage five is a finished, refined pencil sketch of the subject, sort of a final warm up before doing the full colored/rendered piece, and this was my silly little attempt at making my 'Receptor Man' character into such, if a little late. My favorite part was drawing the knife in the corner, and I have a whole story envisioned of how this aged warrior fought in ritualized sparring matches designed to train the uninitiated in the ways of the hunt on his home planet. You can see his hunting scars on his left leg and chest. The armband has two dark notches (looks like an A) that indicate his 'championship' two years in a row during his youth. The pendant is a symbol his mate gave to him as a reward, and the earring was a gift from his firstborn to celebrate his coming of age. And I haven't even started on the dagger. Whee.
