In today's episode, we see, among other things, that the Wolf Queen is able to anticipate Lassie by some many, many years. We also see the imminent clash of the Grey Horde civilization with that of the otters. That might be better rendered as "crash."
I did have the painting "The Landing of Columbus" by John Vanderlyn in mind, by the way, for today's ep.

Well, those wolves, you gotta give 'em a couple points for putting on a show... but take off several hundred for stupidity... I mean seriously, you have a magical flying wolfess and an infamous (from their point of view) magic using roebuck enemy drop in and imply that you are not welcome and so you decide to drop in and stand on the most obvious beachhead location and shout "Hit me now, I am an idiot!"

This won't be a replay of the first time, though. First time, the natives would've been impressed and friendly, the wolves could have infiltrated and were at least able to attack by surprise. This time, the otters know what is going on, and have warning and backup. Even by surprise they lost 2/3 of their last expedition.

Would've set back the discovery of the Americas by a century, tops. Remember, they were already fishing off the Grand Banks. That much delay would've changed -European- history more than American, since the Spaniards would not have had all the Mexican and Incan gold to fund their ventures with during that time. The Spanish Armada would never have been launched...
