So it was St Georges day recently and what with my other half being a Dragon I figured I had best make up to him and what better way is there then with Cake!

the cup of tea is just to reinforce that this is a VERY English cake

P.S. This cake is not a lie...

Is it a Victorian Sponge? If it's not a Victorian Sponge cake, It's not the true English cake.

Actually it is a Victorian sponge, Cherry sponge and a Lemon sponge... so I might have even made this a multicultural very English cake. All win when it comes to tasting :)
