This piece is kind'a important. In society a boy has to enjoy any attention he gets from a girl. But what if the boy doesn't want that attention?

"Yooooooooooshiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!" a long drawn out announcement caught Hiroshi McLoude's attention as he walked down the hall of his school. The merle-colored-mix tried hard not to whimper as he hunched his shoulders and tried to disappear into the sea of blue and silver uniform sweaters.
Maybe if he didn't respond? After all, 'Yoshi' was not his name. At most he was called 'Roshi'. That was generally reserved for Mia his 'baby' sister. His friends all called him Hiroshi and his elder siblings usually just called him otōto, Japanese for 'little brother.' Although he could understand how that voice had decided to shorten his name. He really hated being associated with a little green dinosaur. Just keep moving like he hadn't heard the voice.
It didn't work. He was four feet further on when he was was wrapped up in a fierce hug that sent his slim frame stumbling sideways. His assailant did not really care and he felt a muzzle press against his cheek and neck taking some rather uncomfortable liberties.
"I missed you this morning at drop off!" Melissa Lewis announced as the black wolf wrapped her arms around him. Her hold was rather possessive of him.
"Melissa," Hiroshi tried to squirm free and several furs looked at the display. The best he got was Melissa wrapped about his arm possessively. A lot of the boys smirked. He knew the look: 'lucky guy!' He didn't feel lucky. Almost worse were the looks from a few of the girls. The same sort of look you'd give a hamburger. Those looks made Hiroshi nervous.
"Missy!" the black wolfess corrected him with a bright possessive smile. "You know that Yoshi!"
"Melissa, please let go of me," Hiroshi continued in his soft tenor. "And my name is Hee-ro-she." He was frustrated and uncomfortable enough to stress the pronunciation of his name. It still came out more a gentle rebuke than real anger.
Everything about him screamed 'gentle.' Like his father he had never lost the puppy softness and fluffiness to his coat. He was far from intimidating in stature, though he had a good physique for a freshman thanks to his ballet. He even had what the choir teacher called a 'very sweet' singing voice. Compared to his gregarious sports star brothers he was the guy who everyone loved because he was such a 'nice guy' and 'so safe to be around' and Melissa Lewis had decided that meant he was his to have.
"Oh come on Yoshi I…" the wolfess stopped short as a pair of sable and white furred juniors suddenly stood in front of the 'couple.'
"Hiroshi," his big sister Kaname McLoude announced, her hair and fur perfect looking. "You're going to be late for class."
"And having a girl draped on your arm isn't helping matters," Kaori announced from her sister's side. The collie/akita-in mix's gray eyes were filled with disdain for the black wolfess.
Missy whined softly. "But I haven't seen my Yoshi at all today!"
Kaname snorted and Kaori grabbed Hiroshi's shoulder. The action separated Hiroshi from the wolfess which was a relief. Boys he could deal with. Years of being the 'little prancing fool' -- there was a version of it that he'd heard used but would never even think himself -- and Da's lessons about standing up even if what you liked was a little odd meant he could deal with the boys that snickered and laughed about his ballet. It was the girls that seemed to want to just wrap him up and possess him that he was not equipped emotionally to deal with.
"Come on," Kaname continued. The action had to look rough but Kaname's arm snaked about his slim waist and kept him from stumbling as it looked like he was pulled along.
He only heard a snippet of the conversation between Kaori and Melissa. "Aww Rori! common I just wanted to snuggle with him!"
"He didn't look like he wanted a snuggle," Kaori said and Hiroshi could hear the heat in his sister's voice. He felt his ears flush warm a little as he heard his sister dress the wolfess down. "And my name is Kaori." He couldn't see it but he could imagine Kaori's muzzle rising at its haughty best. He always wondered why his sisters had that tone of voice.
"'Rori just cause you and 'Name are team captains and I'm a New Cheer doesn't mean you can boss me around with my love life!"
He couldn't see her muzzle or hear very well but Hiroshi thought he heard Kaori say 'When it involves my baby brother it does.' but Kaname had guided him away from Melissa and towards the choir room that was his next class.
"Its ok otōto," Kaname whispered to him. The siblings all had learned Japanese from their father and grandmother but often they used the Japanese words for pet names like Kaname was now. She ruffled the soft mop of fur between his prick ears. "We'll keep her pinned up."
"I don't need rescue ane-sama," Hiroshi replied somewhat miserably. He then blushed more. "I'm sorry Kaname." He was grateful. He just wished he hadn't needed saving.
Kaname smiled at him. "Why don't you find hime after school? Talk to her, she's better at the mushy-feely stuff that we are. We're just your pushy big sisters after all."
