This is a toony hybrid animal that was made on commission as part to a full, the pins are still in the eyes in this picture. The customer is not 100% satisfied with this one (so things like unique design was not added yet) so a second is being made to compare to. If customer has preference with the newer head this one will be modified to a comfortable level (with customer's OK) an sold. If they prefer this one that will happen to the other one.

They have updated their ref sheet from what I can tell (tho in this one I had yet to add hair floof, teeth an cheek scars/marks the new ref has that an look more semi-toony than all toony, an ears have more colors in them than they did before and now follow-eyes). What updates it has only way I can do so is to star over fresh so I am to doing that.
I just don't see how it's fair that the client made changes with their character after you've worked on the head already. They should compensate for the changes and pay you more money.
It's like me already almost done with an art piece but my client is unhappy with it because they suddenly made changes to their character's design. I'd make them pay more money to have to make those kinds of changes (it's in my TOS in fact). Small changes are okay but they've listed a lot thus having you start all over. That's not fair to you as an artist.
Just keep in mind your talent and labor should not be treated so poorly. *hugs*

I appreciate the wisdom an will be sure to take to it if this were to happen again =). As I have already told them my plans I do not think it would be right to suddenly ask to be in compensated. In this one I feel because I had taken long in the first place to complete their commission least I can do is bring it to accuracy of their now updated reference since I am in the wrong.
But again I will not let this happen once more. Much appreciate the consideration. ( ノ^v^)ノ♥

Okay friend I can agree it's best to go along with it for this client as of now and for future commissions don't let anyone take advantage of you. Fursuit work takes time and talent and deserves respect. If anyone is giving you trouble let us know and we'll help you out. =)
Aww, Wishn, I'm sorry. You poor thing! Shawty is right, you need to tell the customer they will have to pay more money for you to start completely over. If you don't have a Terms of Service, you NEED to make one and include the customer paying extra if they change their design halfway through. It might not work for this particular customer as you didn't have that there before, but you can sure as heck tell them you will need more money from them to make it happen.
Why would they change their character's design on you and not notify you? Why change it at all?! Grrr! Hang in there hun, you keep doing your work, but seriously, contact them and try to get some extra money out of them to compensate, they can't go doing that, that's insanity and not practical on their part for you, the artist. *Huggles* Miss yah and miss talking to yah. Busy-busy-busy!

As I have told Claus I feel obligated to as apology for the long time it has taken me to finish their commission to at least do this. For future situation I will not falter and have terms to ask for reasonable compensation, but in this case I will not ask of that as I am in wrong.
Happy to hear word from you two though! Is much appreciated. (~^-^)~♥
