In many classic games, if you went over 9 in some values, it would start counting letters, because they used hexadecimal notation for most numbers (in fact, any value over 255 was actually split and showed across multiple number spaces). Such a glitch has occurred for Delak here; he ate too many enemies and got too many points; now his counter's too fat to hold all his 1-ups. XD
