Sketch Pad trotted through the forest, his drawing book tucked beneath his wing. He'd heard rumors that the portal to the Breezies' home would be open today, and he hoped to spot a few and sketch them. He pushed a few bushes out of his way, coming into a small clearing with a small cliff, just tall enough to reach his chest. He glanced around, unsure if he had stumbled across the portal.
Almost as if the forest could read his mind, a small glow began to emanate from the side of the cliff. The glow grew larger, a bright gold ring, before flashing and opening up into the cliff. Sketch Pad leaned in a little, trying to look in. However, as he did, all he could see was walls of what looked like honeycombs. He raised an eyebrow, looking back over his shoulder, expecting to see one of his unicorn friends pulling some sort of uncreative prank. Nothing but forest could be seen though, so Sketch Pad shrugged and sat down into the clearing, pulling out his sketch pad.
As he pulled his pencil out from behind his ear, he felt a small prick at his flanks, causing him to jump up and drop both his pad and pencil. Sitting on the ground beside his discarded pad was a small pony, dressed in some sort of striped jumpsuit. It grinned widely at him, wiggling its rear a little. Sketch noticed a small stinger affixed to the back of the ponies suit, but as he watched, the pony seemed to grow…
Or, rather, that he was shrinking! Sketch stumbled back as the cliff and forest grew around him, the blades of grass beneath his hooves reaching his knees, then his chest. He stepped onto some of the grass he had trampled, watching as the Breezie flew up to him, still grinning widely. He stepped back again, his heart pounding as he was now the size of the small winged pony. The Breezie suddenly turned, its stinger facing Sketch. He had a second to gasp before a glob of a golden goo shot out of the stinger.
Sketch struggled, his body covered in a ball of sticky honey. He thrashed back and forth on the ground, panting with the effort. The Breezie stood over him, placing its front hooves onto the ball. They sank into the honey slightly before the Breezie’s wings began to buzz, lifting it into the air. Its hind legs sank into the honey as well, its wings buzzing even faster. The honey began to stretch, and at first Sketch hoped it would snap, but to his dismay, the bubble he was trapped in, he was lifted off of the ground. His heart began to beat faster as he watched the Breezie carry him helpless into the portal to the hive…
