Kezhon had just planned on going on a walk that day, when he saw one of the local farmers chickens out. Something lit up in him, an old habit his species had learned control in the years but today had reemerged with that fat chicken mindlessly pecking around at the ground.
He snuck forward, one foot in front of the other, quiet as he could be, eyes trained on the plump bird, ears erect and alert for sounds that signal he could be caught at any moment. Finally he was close enough, he held very still, then in a split second snatched up the bird and took off, the predator in him cheered with the successful snatch while his civilized side questioned "Ok... now what do we do with it?"
