Not a crime, but after 6 years of waiting the expectations were quite high and the disappointment was proportionally big. While I'm not sure what the finished game will be like, many people say it looks like Diablo, Gauntlet or a MOBA, which is a pretty common format and fear it will go under among them rather than standing out as the established format, which isn't nearly as common.

But again, not like those formats are bad either. I'll personally just wait and not really judge it. The Ds minions game was a different one too and I still liked it.

Nah. But unless that game turns out to be really good and outstanding, it will likely get bad reviews for the similarity alone, nobody will want to buy it and in worst case, Codehamsters decide the brand doesn't generate enough money and abandon it completely. I'd think the complaining about it would be not nearly as high if it would have been released along with OL3, like Minions was. Which was a fun game on its own, but got largely ignored, too.

WELL the most interesting thing I wonde ris nobody is forcing or cna force them to make sequels. People have gotten a bit used to 'everygamethatsgoodneedsmorecopies'.

And that's what is being held against it - that they are making a copy of Diablo/Gauntlet/whatever. I for one am glad Codemasters is making a spinoff rather than a direct sequel, because direct sequels made by different developers tend to suck dick.
