Eh. All he'd have to do is flip the image, so it's not like it's THAT bad. Maybe it's a special left-handed bassoon or something :P Otherwise though, the details are spot-on, particularly for someone who (presumably) doesn't play one.
Also, go double-reeds! I played oboe in concert, back in HS. Difficult to play, but totally worth it when you get that beautiful sound to come out.

As far as solo instruments go, bassoons fall on the 'less appealing' end of the scale imo. Maybe you should draw an entire ensemble of shirtless bears! Would love to see a grizzly playing a violin, the thought is adorable :3
