My Lee loved butterflies. She planted all kinds of plants to attract them, and her little garden behind the house we lived in was full of them. :3

If you get the chance to go to a Butterfly Conservatory... do it.. it's positively amazing.

I've been. There's a nice one here on L.I. , inside a local Nature Preserve. Lee would've loved it. :)

Well... I'm still a hacker-photog, I think.. but more than happy to share what I've learned.

Here's somethings I learned:
Set your shutter speed for the inverse of your ISO rating adjust your f-stop for proper light
(Meaning ISO 200 = 1/200 sec shutter - add f-stop to taste)

-or-

Set your shutter speed to the inverse of your focal length and adjust your f-stop and/or ISO for proper light
(Meaning 150mm focal = 1/150sec or faster - add f-stop and ISO to taste)

Obviously it's hella lot easier doing some of that digitally - so if you find you jitter more, bump up your ISO and shutter speed to capture a faster image; faster capture = less movement of the image.
