In Rochester, NY is the Strong Museum of Science (and play!)... part of it is the Butterfly Conservatory. BIG room, warm, moist... and LOTS of butterflies of all descriptions.
This was one guy I got a pic of.. cropped and sharpened a little.

Here's somethings I learned:
Set your shutter speed for the inverse of your ISO rating adjust your f-stop for proper light
(Meaning ISO 200 = 1/200 sec shutter - add f-stop to taste)
-or-
Set your shutter speed to the inverse of your focal length and adjust your f-stop and/or ISO for proper light
(Meaning 150mm focal = 1/150sec or faster - add f-stop and ISO to taste)
Obviously it's hella lot easier doing some of that digitally - so if you find you jitter more, bump up your ISO and shutter speed to capture a faster image; faster capture = less movement of the image.
Give it a try sometime - I'll help as I can.
