Ah, Earth: Our original home, and the most developed of all our planets. But that's hardly a surprise, given that it's also the center of Lady Okamitsune's attentions! Nanoworkers pop up vast cities and temples and monuments towering miles into the sky, completed in the span of hours. Power stations generate infinite energy used to levitate entire countries beyond the atmosphere, fueled by nothing and generating no waste. With a single step, travelers can journey to any place, at any time, across the entirety of the universe and its history. Our homeworld is a scenic utopia under the shadow of our goddess' wondrous toes, and each day is brighter than the last!
Ah, oh dear, heh. It looks like an ancient Goddess has attracted Lady Okamitsune's attention, and favor! It'll be interesting to see what effect this bit of historical revision will have on the history books...
All right then, let's get to uploading this monster of a commission! The whole thing is already up on
stampy's account, but it's finally going to be available to those of you who aren't watching him yet for some reason.
And so, as the continents reconverge into Pangea Ultima, the world has long united in worship of Okamitsune. The entire planet is a true utopia, where even the lowliest citizen still leads a life more incredible and wonderful than the greatest emperors and kings of old.
Speaking of which, yep, that's Kiya from panel 4, there! Seeing her outgrow her planet like this gives the citizens of earth an excellent way to evaluate the sort of chronological transformations that can arise when Sunny changes history. It's far from the first time they've had a chance to see it happen, though!

She doesn't, actually! In fact, I never use her with other people unless I already have things worked out with them and their approval, because it's explicitly the most important part of her design that she's always the biggest. I'm not kidding, it's even more important than species or shape, as she can alter those at-will, and frequently does.
Even just attempting to outgrow her will cause her to involuntarily outgrow the grower infinitely over. The only beings that have figured out any way around this are her parents, and even then she tends to get growth-itchy when they're bigger than her current size.
Again, though, this is my head-canon. I don't want to enforce it on others, but it's a condition of interacting with Okamitsune.

Nope! Even if Sunny somehow inexplicably and uncharacteristically wanted to, if she had a physical presence that
A: could in any way detect Illia, and
B: was not already larger than Illia,
it'd instantly outgrow Illia to the point that Illia could no longer comprehend her, and then keep on growing pretty much until she decided to start the long and incredibly difficult struggle to control the acceleration (not to stop or slow down or anything; the surge would already have permanently increased her base growth speed).
Also worth pointing out that this is talking about her avatar bodies, of which she has too many to count. In a very literal sense. As in, there isn't enough matter and energy in our entire universe to create a system of representation that could accurately express the number she has, each of which are individually more powerful than any deity not already more powerful than she is (which is pretty much only her parents and a mere handful of other, nervously-awaiting-their-own-completely-inevitable-surpassment deities).
Did I mention those avatar bodies are all in mortal form, by the by? As her divine bodies are explicitly too huge and powerful to represent in any coherent art or story form.
And this is just the involuntary and automatic reaction. Sunny loves to just throw her own power into making the growth surges even bigger, though, because it actually makes her intensely uncomfortable on both a physical and emotional level to not be the biggest, and also because it's just so much fun to grow.
I've been told that Sunny seems less like "a character who grows" and more like "growth personified, in character form." I sorta like that concept of her, it fits very nicely <3
And, again, I try not to bring this up much unless specifically asked, because I don't wanna step on other macrophiles' toes. Toes are nice, they're an important part of paws. It's my own head-canon, and people are free to ignore it if they want to describe one of their own cast as The Biggest Ever.

i see. I was just thinking of the idea that Sunny could encounter Illia, who has existed since near the beginning of time itself and has had growing power ever since that point, making her capable of reaching Eldritch sizes without even trying. If Sunny did encounter her in some way, her growth would be so insane that she could potentially (and probably would) outgrow timespace itself. Quite a mistake Illia would be making, but it would certainly be amusing for her to think that she caused a goddess to become infinitely more powerful than before. hehehe :3
Well, like I said, it does actually cause Okamitsune a lot of discomfort to be not-the-biggest for even a moment, even if she does enjoy the explosive growth after. She'd probably try to warn Illia against it while simultaneously growing big enough to avoid being outgrown. That said, Sunny is always happy to help others grow if they'll put their size to good use, so she'd likely bring Illia up several levels as a ways of apologizing. And Illia could still trigger the growth in other ways, like offering Okamitsune worship or attempting to donate some power- Sunny is uniquely overreactive to even the slightest potential sources of growth!
One of the craziest parts about Sunny is her age- the only competition she hasn't already fully surpassed are her parents, who are among the oldest beings in all creation, and that set of other deities beyond her parents, who are the actual oldest beings. They were literally around since the very beginning, possibly even before that, and have spent all that time growing at what is provably the maximum possible speed to grow.
And Sunny's on track to blow past them in a portion of a single mortal lifespan.
They're really quite scared of her, heh.

Hahaha. I'll bet Illia is too. Ironically she's always been worried about the possibility of outgrowing all of existence, and all other existences along with them. But if anything, it seems like Sunny (or w/e her name is, Okamitsune or something) would enjoy meeting Illia for the sake of the extreme growth spurt she would have. Discomforting at first, sure, but Illia would understand somebody wanting to be even bigger than her. She actually likes seeing others grow, and occasionally feeds others growth power for the sake of her own amusement. On occasion she even lets those lucky people and Pokemon keep some of that power if she thinks they could either put it to good use or have safe responsible fun with it.
So ya, Illia meeting Sunny would be neat. I'd honestly write a story like that if you accepted such things. Given how complex your universe of characters must be, I can understand why you'd be reluctant for others to write with those concepts xD

Her full name is Okamitsune AEsir (with the A and E bunched together, but FA chokes on that sometimes). Sunny is a nickname she earned by mispronouncing the '-tsune' portion of her name when younger, but her trouble with manipulating suns and stars made sure the nickname would stick.
As much as Sunny would be okay with the resulting growth, she really doesn't like being outgrown. She'd much rather just let that person praise her instead, which could easily lead to a far-bigger surge anyway! Then she can use some of the excess to help whoever it was grow bigger than they can comprehend, and so on in a great big loop.
I am going to have to apologize and refrain from such a story about Sunny, but I do appreciate the offer! As you've noted, my cast is pretty complex and there's a ton of moving parts; I feel nervous about loaning out characters even when I've known the writer for a long time and worked with them closely. I do thank you for the interest and approval, though, and suggest that perhaps a story with a distinct but similar character might work? A friendly and benevolent teenage fun-loving growth bomb goddess whose growth is triggered by everything ever is just a lot of fun as a concept!

It is a fun concept. I hope Sunny can reach heights like that at some point, cause it would be very fun to see. Thank you for your appreciation. I could try the story with other characters of a similar kind. I could do a thing like that with Mithora, who seems to be very sensitive to growth from the way I've written her God AU form.
Also thank you for clearing that name up. Really confusing stuff remembering nicknames sometimes.

Oh, don't worry- if it's a size (and even if it isn't), Sunny will be outgrowing it soon if she hasn't already! It's just what she does, by being Sunny!
And, ooh- I was a fan of Mithora! She seemed like a fantastic goddess- cute, helpful, benevolent, and uniquely and unstoppably growy! I absolutely would not complain about seeing her have a chance to get even grander, whether she were ready or not <3
And, no worries! Sunny catches a lot of people with the nickname. I'm just not sure where to clear it up, because it comes up so often!

heh. funnily enough i made up a few sizes that are beyond infinity. basically they're sizes you become when you become bigger than anything can possibly be. First is void, when you become infinitely infinite, then infinivoid, when you become infinitely void sized, and finally Eldritch size, which is infinitely bigger than infinivoids :3
My size progression is Universe < Multiverse < Exoverse < Omniverse, followed by plenty more levels which I don't bother to name because at that point things are generally well and truly past any human scope! From there, it's just Pantheons and MegaPantheons, and anything more specific can only be done in the form of a comparison- Character X is bigger and stronger than Character Y, at their respective full powers. Infinity is somewhere in there, although even my mortal Rattata character Pamela could theoretically outgrow it (she's sort of like a conduit for MissingNo., who is an Eldritch incomprehensible force in my canon- a friendly one, but one with literally no sense at all of proportionality nor scale, which gives Pamela some fun powers she really doesn't understand at all)!
Unless you're into that sort of thing, I feel like inventing new names for levels of reality to outgrow hits diminishing returns quite quickly. It also helps keep the bigger sizes feeling rightfully extreme, so you don't get as inured to the fact that you're dealing with beings so vast that their very thoughts are more 'real' than the planet we stand on. There's a few levels we can understand as being "like universes, but more so," but after a certain point comparisons just break down and we become lost in a world of such scale and magnitude that our furthest fantasies are wholly insufficient to grasp <3
But! Again, that's unless you're into that sort of thing. Some people love watching numbers go up, and, well, I won't deny there's something fun about seeing them soar <3

I see. So you're method of describing growth is to go up to a certain extent and then resort to comparisons between the two. That's reasonable. I use a friend's scale for dimensions, which has quite a lot of them, but in my stories I usually don't name the planes of existence beyond multiverse. Multiverse is a level that most people understand, but levels beyond that which are made up usually don't sit well. It's better in my case to just describe the fact that they're outgrowing many higher planes of existence, each one bigger than the last.
Infinity and Void are two scales i recently came up with in a rp to continue my characters' growth. I solidified the concept recently with the idea of Eldritch, though the third concept (infinivoid or voidfinity depending on preference) i have been considering removing from that scale for the arbitrary nature of it. I honestly don't use numbers that often myself, mostly just scales of previous scales. Millions of universes, billions of infinities, and so forth.

Yeah, past multiverses most non silly-macrophiles just end up scratching their heads. Assuming they aren't already. But it'd be silly for us to stop the growing there, when there's so much more to overwhelm~
If the scales are meaningful to you, might as well keep them. If not, no real reason to. It's definitely one of those things where each writer has some personal freedom!

Yeah kind of - but also not!
Sunny's looming over them all in a higher dimension,so she's looking down at them all from the same point, but to everyone else, she always has, and always will be looking down at them, because every earth at every point in time is there.
It's why in panel five (the one with Vapour) the planet has been skewered by her claws. But it's always been skewered to that planet, so they just evolved and built around the fissures.
