The mutant-thingie reminds me of Battle Angel: Alita, also known as GUNNM, though I can't recall which character specifically it reminds me of.

That's supposed to be a backpack .. though I have to admit that this would have been more obvious if it had some straps or such.

That is the strangest weapon I've ever seen. You pull the trigger and a big scary face pops out of your backpack and frightens your enemy half to death!

It's just a backpack .. no weapon. The only weapons she's carrying around are the two blades.
And why'd you say her pet is frightening people to death?!? Isn't it ultra cute? XD

Oh that's just awesome. I'd love to see something like that in a game. Grapple-claw mouth, perhaps?

Hehe .. I'm sure there's been something similar in a game. I mean .. it's not that I come up with never-seen-before ideas .. as people tell me every once in a while (==> "hey, this reminds me of [put popular anime/comic/toon/movie here]" .. but .. I didn't watch the movie and have never heard of that anime before so how in the nine hells should I have taken this as reference or whatever?!?)
