Hey, if her eyes glow, then my whole objection disappears. They seem a tad bit sharp around the edges, but they are also small objects on a small image, which doesn't help at all.
...just curious, how did you make the candle's glow? My guess is that you took a dark, transparent layer and erased a chunk out of the middle with some kind of textured brush. Am I right?

I think it's actually good to me that they're sharp around the edges-- piercing, you know? XD
Concering the lighting... Nope. I could have done it that way, now that you mentioned it. The idea that I was trying with this (and the Hyena Shadows picture I posted alittle while ago) was to start with a dark base colour and work my way up, adding light on top of things. The candle glow started out with first a wide ring of an orange, I think, and then progressively brighter/whiter shades in smaller rings, and then the candle itself using a fine tipped brush to accent it with almost-white.
