Trying to do something a little more gestural. My OCD really wants me to spend hours detailing this but I know from experience that I'm probably only going to gain an extra 10% out of it, so I'm going to stop here.
It's sort of a continuation of an abstract mech dog I designed a while back. Hope you like it!

Hey Tukamos. I did this in two sittings, one of about half an hour just to get the basic outline and establish the major forms, and then another session of about 3 hours for all the details. In contrast, this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15923923/ took more than 20 hours.
Anyways, how's it going man?

I'm a little stressed (cause finals and shit) but pretty good.
Damn 20 hours is a lot of time. I think I gotta work on being more patient... Also, I've been doin some drawing fundamentals at http://drawabox.com/ I think the thing that surprised me the most was that I wasnt using my shoulder when I draw lines...

Yeah I'm the same, this last semester has been super stressful.
Looks like you've found a great resource there; it's good to hear that you're practicing. Drawing with your arm will def help with making an image look more fluid, drawing ellipses becomes much easier as well. Just one point about the 20hr painting, you're gonna learn a lot more by doing 10 2hr paintings than one 20hr one. In fact that last 2hr painting will probably look better than the 20hr one. As a recovering perfectionist, I have the bad habit of obsessing over something. With this current painting I've started to break that bad habit.
