Long ago in the world of IBSFA there was the island of Choky Nok Nok, a small but prosperous nation famed for it's natural pools of chocolate. But then suddenly one morning the mountain exploded into a volcano, erupting streams of molten chocolate that seared the flesh. Great chasms split open the ground, swallowing up the unexpected inhabitants while great chunks of the island sunk below into the water, dashing the sleeping ships into splinters and creating numerous tsunamis that scoured the shores of all life. Only a handful of natives survived.

Mount Choky Nok Nok is not made of ice cream nor was the town and it's inhabitants made of gingerbread. The artist who was commissioned to paint the scene thought the idea of harvesting chocolate from beneath the ground was a silly tale, and reckoned that if he was going to paint a volcano erupting chocolate, he might as well add the ice cream and gingerbread.

This is the landscape commission for  tankana who asked just for an ice cream volcano erupting streams of molten chocolate. Then I had the idea of putting it into IBSFA lore so I added all the other stuff and came up with that story of a disbelieving artist to explain the existence of a painting of an ice cream volcano in my IBSFA universe.

BTW, the next time someone asks me to do another delicious food landscape, I'm going to charge extra for food pornography because working on this image made me really hungry.

PS, I use the words Choky Nok Nok as a name for a hot chocolate drink. Years ago while raiding with guildies in WoW, we took a break and I was going to say into voice chat: "I'm going to get a hot chocolate." Somehow those last two words came out as "choky nok nok" and my old guildies never let me forget that.
