I found a photoshopped pic of a Subaru STi coupe and I thought it looked cool. So I replicated it using markers and colored pencils. I also tossed a random furry girl in to make this FA-friendly. Enjoy.

Thanks Zero! I should tackle the tC sometime, eh? :)
Yeah... I know what you mean about the grill. I thought it was hideous at first, but it's grown on me to an extent. I still favor the "bug-eye" STi the most.
I've heard that the Impreza's up for a total re-design in the next year or two. I'm hoping for a coupe model, and also hoping it's not anything like the concept drawings I've spotted.

Hehe, yea I loved the bug eye imprezas too. I came really close to buying a blue WRX in 2002, but decided not to, because it was just out of my price range. :
They should change the style soon, its long over due for a redesign. :)
and the previous gen Impreza did have a coupe, I dont know why they got rid of it in the first place, hopefully it'll come back ^^
Here's a pic if you havn't seen one before http://www.xxlrally.pl/Subaru/sub4.jpg

Wow, thanks for the pic! That coupe was wicked awesome - there are Subies EVERYWHERE here in upstate NY, and from time to time I'll see a few coupes.
I was really bummed out last year - since there aren't many Subarus in OK, they only had brand new WRXes at the dealership, and yes, just out of my price range. My fiancee, Crash, has a bug-eye '02 Impreza Wagon, and I pretty much fell in love with it when he got it.
I don't know if I'll spring for a WRX for my next car or not. I got the chance to drive an Audi S4 last week, and I'm fairly enamored with it now. :D

And how much what a commision cost? I have a TC, would love to get my character drawn with my car.

Thank you! ^.^ I did use a photo reference, but when did the sketching, I made the car considerably bigger (I still think the dimensions might be a bit off, that I made the front end too prominant)
Hehe, I had to attach it to a second piece of cardstock, though. I messed up the original sky, plus the original sheet was getting warped from being so saturated with marker. XD
Thank you so much for the compliment! ^_^

Very nice color choices!
I wish I could afford the insurance on an STI. I had to "settle" for a WRX. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/96496/

Almost the entire thing was done with Prisma markers. The only places I used pencils were her gauzy shirt (to give it a see-through effect with very fine cross-hatching) and on the white areas on the car. I also used a white prisma pencil very heavily on the hood... to blend the purplish pink with the bright blue. It helped to gradiate it a bit.
I also bought this thing called a Galaxy Marker at Michaels. I thought it was kind of shitty, but it did help to lay a bit of white down on top of the background and on shiny areas, where needed. :)

I thought so on the colored pencil because there's no such thing as a white Prisma marker though I never thought of using one for blending like that, just for the highlights. By the way, I forgot to say before that you did a wonderful job on the details like the wheels, grill, and headlights. How difficult were the headlights for you and how did you draw the wheels? Were they freehand? I ended up freehanding the ones I did on the Dodge Viper I colored because the oval didn't come close to anything I had a template for.
What a great job.
(leaves it at that. everybody else said it better)
yeah, upstate NY seams like subaru country. they are everywhere. and I am totally in love with the WRX power train. I would love to own a WRX Baja.
or the project I really want to try. a mazda miata with the WRX STi power train put in it. can you imagine a light small convertible miata, with all that power and full time 4wd? and it wouldn't even look different on the outside a real sleeper.
awww dreams.

Yeah, but I am an avid motorcyclist, I want either a very functional car( wagon, or baja) or very funn car (miata). but I really like Int World Rally racing and the WRX power train. what i don't like is all the asain mod "boy racer" cars your talking about. I like a nice body and mellow paint. I like cars that Look stock. I like sleepers. I do like the legacy sedans, but I'd rather have an outback.
I also miss the Brat. and did you know they made a 4wd version of the justy for awhile?</geek>

thats because it is TR.
the tuners all have a different idea of what aftermarket body stuff they want. and *laughs* most of them don't know how to "Tune" the power train anyway. they just spends the money and drive the car.
I grew up with the old school h0t rodders. where what your car could do meant more than what it looked like. and you did all or most of the work yourself.
I love to modify my vehicles. I just don't want you to know unless you look under the hood or the car itself. One of my friends has a work truck that was getting 8 3/4 mpg. but no one could do anything about it because emission law requires a lot of controls on the motor. to fix his fuel issue would require about $2000 and he might get back to stock, 10 1/2mpg. I spent a week on it in my spare time and block or eliminated all the emission controls while replacing carburetor racing type. this made it completely adjustable.
the truck now Looks completely stock, even when you open the hood, but has more power while driving, gets 12 1/2 mpg and when put on the emissions tester. has Lower emissions then when it was passed with all the crap hooked up and working.
sorry, probably more than you cared to know, but I don't want to erase it now.

Wow, it's been a LONG time since I've seen a vehicle drawing this good. There's a couple spots on the tires that look outta proportion but take that in the best way possible. I'd never be able to draw this if you gave me all the car reference books in the world!
Could I just ask one thing? I always see people drawing tuner cars nowadays...if you ever did one of these again, would you do an old drag-racer hotrod or american muscle car? You don't see very many of those floating around. Plus, I love me my MOPAR and Chevy >.> -total bias- =3
Oh yea, +FAV =333
