Pretty much totally unfamiliar with that. I mean that because it's the stereotypical fixed carrying handle and plastic handguards you'd normally see in a cheesy action movie, rather than a free-floating tube, flat-top receiver, and heavy barrel someone interested in precision would be using.

It's the "signature" rifle from a 1960's comic-book character, at the time it would have been seen as really high-tech and modern, the commissioner wanted a pic of his character riffing on that 1960's character (think "cosplay").

True, but they should be shooting from a more stable position: Resting the rifle on the guard rail, sitting in one of the seats, or prone.

They also probably should have chosen a room closer to the ground for the shot, so they can get back inside the room.

looks like an m-16 medium-range high-velocity, (and a suppressor would reduce that velocity substantially)
who knows maybe the guy is just super stable and strong
whatever, its some random artwork thats not a real situation
no sense in picking it apart

I agree with you for a deselection stand point. More stable position and gone with an 18-22" barrel for a 7.62x51 (.308 Win). Maybe the Deserttech SRS?

well, i guess if the character is really strong and stable it wouldnt matter
it is fantasy after all
and we really cant see what hes aiming at, so we have no real reference as to the distance, all we know is the angle
maybe something lime a little landing boat?

assuming the proportions of the shoreline and room are right on i'm going to say about 8-10 floors. So i'd say 600 yds. +/- 50. Something I would not use a 5.56 for.
