I hope it's cool that I went with blue! I was going to draw up some coral/fiery roses to match with her gradient bits, but then I thought that might make it all blend together. So since she also has those electric blue bits- I went for azure roses. I've always loved the idea of blue roses too- symbolizing mystery and the unattainable. I remember flipping my shit way back when FMA had an episode that mentioned blue roses. Jeez that was like eight years ago DAMN.

Actually this is on my old tablet! This thing is slow and heavy and inconvenient- but I'm USED to it. Whereas my new tablet is crisp and clean that it's almost like a whole other medium. I'm sure if I take some time to practice on it I'll get the hang of it in no time, but when I owe so much art I feel guilty by wasting more time using their comms as my slow practice progress for the new tablet instead of getting them out faster on the old one.
UGH BUT THIS TABLET SURE DOES SUCK I HAVE LIKE A CRUMB OR SOMETHING UNDER THE SPACEKEY AND I HAVE TO SLAP THAT BASTARD EVERY TIME I NEED TO TYPE A SPACE ASDK;FJSDF PAIN IN MY ASS

(Now to get my inner biologist out of my head because it won't shut up. Blue Roses are currently genetically impossible, though they are working hard on making them. For some reason, the genes for blue in roses is not there at all. Thank you for letting my inner biologist out, now to bash it back into the box I put it in and put stronger locks on it this time)

Don't hide the nerd pride D8 Being intelligent and interested in knowledge/information is totally awesome. There's so much I want to learn and I adore that kind of curiosity and interest in other people!
I did know about the blue roses being impossible to 'breed', but never in a way so eloquently as you put it- I hardly managed to dye some cream roses blue after almost five days in dye. (And even then the dye only travels along the veins and didn't create a solid hue across the petals. Just ended up looking blue- but if you looked close enough you could see a ton of blue dots- like pointillism or something haha)

It was my fiancé that first clued me into this fact because he was an environmental biology major before he shifted to nursing. This was a surprise question on a test he had in botany class that he only got right because it was only referenced to once in their books in one of those extra bit of information parts that most just skip over and don't read.
(There is nothing quite as sexy to me as when he starts into one of his little biology rants, especially on Raptor birds. Biggest reason is that he is a very laidback, go with the flow of things kind of guy)
