hm if you give it some colors it would look more realistic, if you want to go that direction it is a good progress in my eyes ^^
If you want to keep toony, you maybe do the old x3

Both this one as well your previous art is good. I would use both skills separately depending on weather it is your own personal art or a commissioned piece.
