So it hit me, a Fjord makes more sense for the Gallows Pony than a grade mix. Also, omnom "grey" dun Fjords. :3

The board I was using the markers on stained the base of the neck pinky-orange...s'why I didn't finish the damn thing. :P I'll have to attack the board with something to strip the colour off of it. Grrr.
But it is a cute headshot and I put way too much effort into the mane to just trash it, so...sharing!!! :D

Gallows Pony is so freakin cute as a Fjord! I love these horses so much, they are so hardy and stocky looking and have a real prehistoric look to them that I just adore. I love the way you’ve colored this too with markers, it looks very much like watercolors it’s almost hard to tell the difference. I also like how you’ve made the headstall thicker and more robust to match the breed. I’m loving this character!
