Something I did after my live-stream today, playing around with how I'd like to draw anthro characters. I've always valued and strove towards some degree of "exaggerated realism," but lately I've felt really lacking on the realism part; too cartoony or something.

I don't like photorealism though, so that's not what I'm striving for either.

This guy is kind of a hint of the directing I'd rather go, and something that fixes one of my personal problems that I noticed cropping up from time to time: I really wanted to interpret / draw characters much closer to their original animals, rather than drawing the same basic head shape and eyes, and then sticking their respective animal attributes on that head. I think if I can eventually get a grip handle on the look I'm going for, it could make for some really cool characters and a more distinctive look / style for all of you who already are cool enough to like what I'm doing now.

Anyway, he's up for grabs! I have a larger resolution reference for whoever gets him.
