Looking back on it, a lighter color frame would've worked better. The cream inner mat blends with the sand while the light blue outer mat expands the sky and ocean. But the black frame seems to prevent the picture from expanding and even encloses it, especially since it's hung on a white wall. This one's also big, takes up half the wall too.
