That expression makes me smile. And I love how his eyes are directed towards that one falling leaf. So I read it (and this might just be me and I'm odd like this) as he's really angry at that one leaf for some strange reason.

Well, that was back before anime was popular and cartoons were capable of showing expressions.

Well, that's true with 90% of anime, but some anime tv series/movies are fantastic. Like Robot Carnival, Akira, MindGame, Neo-Tokyo, etc. And when The Maxx came out in the mid-90's, that style of expression and flow was quite amazing as well. But nooooooooo, shitty ass animated shows with no talent stay on the air, while good shows with great animation get canned right off the bat. It doesn't make any fuckin' sense.

Yeah, there's nice anime stuff out there... I guess I just haven't watched much of it though. I think I must be like... really persnickety. ( Wow! Spellcheck liked that word! )

What's really mind-blowing is that there's a new Archies cartoon that's aired on Fox on Saturday and Sunday mornings. And if you're familiar with shitty cartoons, this would be the epitome. It makes no sense that it gets a time slot ANYWHERE on a major network like that.
