Hmmm I wish I was more knowledgeable in MH stuff because then I would ask you to do a MH themed RP with me but I just don't know enough to feel comfortable doing one.

well you could check the monster hunter wikia to familiarize yourself with the great monster's on there. X3

I mean I watch loads of MH4U videos, but things like items and their effects are what I'm mostly worried about. The only big monster I've ever killed myself ingame is a Seltas, the first monster. But I did make the decision to use only Insect Glaives for MH4U. So far I haven't regretted it...

yeah ive been pretty much using the insect glaive throughout the game as well excluding doing some training with other weapons and having a hammer and dual swords. X3 but by item's do you mean like food item's or just general item's like potion's and ect.?

Anything that isn't a monster, I am not well-versed in, save for basic healing items and nectars for the kinsect.

well there aren't too many really unique usable item's i mean some sure but otherwise not a very large amount.

Well what about materials you get from carves? And these Wystones I've heard of?

well carvable material's rarely are used for anything other than just being used as parts for armor but there is a few things that work together like deviljho talon's with armorcharm's or powercharm's and wystone's are used for either boosting your damage against infected monster's or boosting your defense against them for the main two but i use the defense one since it lasts longer but if you have the effects one a wystone on you against an infected monster there is also a chance you can knock a monster out of the infection for a moment if you hurt them enough but they can reinfect after a while.
