All businessmen have enemies and competition. There's also plenty of companies in Cape Suzette that aren't connected to Khan. Being the best game in town doesn't mean you're the only game in town, after all. Anyway, Sultan is a canon character, and he and his company appear in the episode where Buzz invents a helicopter and they try to steal it.
To be fair, in the actual movie, Leia's crack about Luke's height is made while she thinks he actually is a Stormtrooper. The same could apply here. She's never met Han before (assuming that's who Baloo is) and even when he unmasks himself, she has no reason to assume he's anything other than a really fat Stormtrooper who just inexplicably took his helmet off. Right after his response is when she'd realize he isn't a fat Stormtrooper, just a fat smuggler.
I think most people are only casting the first film in their heads, where, depending which version you see, Boba Fett either never appears or only shows up for one scene. That and considering Boba's smaller role and consequently smaller impact on the plot, I personally think he'd be wasted as Boba Fett since we wouldn't see him often and he'd get taken out like a chump.
Although getting taken out like a chump after all the buildup is, admittedly, very Karnage-like.

I suppose Karnage could work as a flamboyant Tarkin:
