A Song of Ice and Fire - A Storm of Swords (or Game of Thrones season 4 to all the show watchers) fan art!
WARNING: -SPOILERS Book 3/Season 4-
...
When reading about how the battle at the Wall ended at the hands of Stannis, I had a very distinct image in my mind. While I captured it only somewhat, the symbolism between the rising sun and Stannis's approach from the east entertained me most. Below, the wildling encampment with it's many campfires and fierce warriors await the approach of an unknown enemy from the east. With Others behind them, the Wall ahead, and taken mostly by surprise, there is no where to run. The wilding warg Varamyr Sixskin's eagle skin is set aflame and burned by the Red Priestess Melessandra, leading him to madness, preceding the onslaught by only moments. I hope to do much more ASOIAF/GOT work in the future!
If you look reeally close, you can see the Red Woman and Stannis Baratheon holding Lightbringer at the head of the approaching army!
