I put it there to add a little "optional" back story to the character which is supposed to make you curious. Google it and you'll learn ;> I like to think of it as interactive story telling, let viewers figure it out if they are interested.

I was told the same some time ago, but the first page had been done ages ago and it had the same slight grammatical error so I didn't bother to have it changed (as I am not the one putting the dialogue in, I just mostly come up with it)
