Three days of observation and the patient shows signs of recovery. This is most confusing, as it was understood that the strain of bacteria with which he was infected had no known immunologically active sites or behaviors. The body should not have been able to recognize it as something foreign and initiate an immune response, yet here I see him stirring from a comatose state. It seems unlikely that he was given the test strain instead of the live strain, though I shall have to carefully review my staff's notes. If it seems as though there has been a mishap... well, I suppose accidents are known to happen, especially with these novice researchers. Though two patients do make for a much better sampling than just one, I suppose.
