I'd like to see them move them around, the benefits of this is you don't have to worry about all the problems that can occur when a boat is left in the water for a long period of time. Although the ones on top don't look very safe from high winds o.O

In fact, we have strong wind from time to time and I never heard of boats felling down.

Chicago boat owners do the same with their smaller boats. The city sets times, mostly over the weekend, to raise its bridges so the boats can go down to dry dock.

I am unsure where the bigger yachts go for dry dock. Lake Michigan can damage yachts when it freezes over.

He guess the parking here is for out of the summer, and no big boats. The river is not deep.
