rook is so dapper , i gota draw him again soon XD i grew up with TinTin and Indiana jones, and so i love world detective/treasure hunters. and a canine just looks so good in a fedora ^__^ i think i may draw him feral but with clothes for a funny joke ~wink~ unsure when ill get another chance to sketch though but should be some time not to far. oh btw, what is your fursona, i cant remember if i asked that yet. i may have before but it has escaped my mind. i assume a female wolf or coyote or dog hybrid of some kind?
Haha thanks! Ah yes Indiana Jones is amazing, probably where some of my liking for the look came from :D Occasionally I draw Rook feral but still with the hat for the lols, haha. Hats are fun. I look forward to seeing it whenever it is!
And this coydog character is the closest thing I have to a fursona actually! I have a link to other art of her in my main profile info.

rook is male but i guess id tend to link a female character with a female artist (not always the case ^_^). but would your "closest thing to a character" the coydog, be a she or a he? actually one of my classmates and friends from animations school loves to draw canine characters that are male but is not a fur so no female avatar that i know of ^_^ so not entirely uncommon. just curious . ( not that it really matters unless when drawing anthros with clothes which are clearly female or male. yet i tend to draw stuff in uni-sex clothing ( any gender or non-gender specific clothes) so it almost does not matter. blah xD
PS:
oh btw, i should be ramping up art soon and i would be BAD if i neglected to mention this to you. you may also find it a valuable and affordable resource.

my friend/coworker/fellow artist just clued me into this and this is EXACTLY what i had in mind. i have been wanting to do some art study for ages and am jumping back in but had no time, ( also a bad overnight work schedule) and no money for more school ( plus big student loan debt) so... this is a very CHEAP ( about $10 a month) schooling with great professional teachers.
they have exited for awhile now but are simply transitioning to a subscription service, business model. which means they can offer more now and the kickstarter already reaching multiple limits, with (8 days left) so if you do decide to do this, do so quickly. at any rate just wanted to put it out as you seem like a fellow friendly artist who may find this very vital. you, like myself, have training and/or experience enough in art but if you want a chance to fast track your work to the next level ( the way i have wanted for years now) this may be just the right way.
essentially it is about $10 a month depending on your level but if you do the highest level which is about $240 American or $300 Canadian for 2 years. you essentially pick one course and have access to it only however when done, at any time, and however many times you like.... you can switch courses for only a one time fee of $1. so if you say get all you can from a specific painting course you cans witch to figure drawing etc. the courses they offer ( thus far ,... and there will be more soon). are listed on the main site link
i just wanted to put it out there since i am excited to do this and have been wanting two for about 2 years now. thought i would spread the word ^_^

As I think I might have mentioned before, the coydog (Erin) is female. I'm not actually a furry and I don't consider her a fursona, she's just a thing for self representation through art and not really so much of a fleshed out character on her own (if that makes sense haha). Rook is indeed male but he is his own character, not really self-representational in any way.
I'm not looking for any extra schooling at the moment (I've got my hands pretty full with getting my science degree) but that does look like a nice resource for someone looking for art classes. Best of luck with it! : )
