i had that once at my old place when i was kid, but imagine this by 3 time bigger and messed up.

Yowch. Step one, document it for insurance. Step two, clean up and dry out. Step three, seal the roof. Done by now, I understand.
Step five is replace the ruined insulation and drywall, which should be covered as well - but since I'm a DIY home repair kinda guy, I picture a day or two spent with a competent helper and appropriate tools. I hope you don't have to do that yourself.

Some of my parent's friend's basement basically collapsed sometime last year because of all the rain and snow that melted. basically the wall went and all hell broke loose...Hope that it acan be fixed pretty quickly. >u<;

I never had the ceiling come in like that, but at one apartment I lived in, we had a particularly heavy storm that resulted in a stream of water the diameter of my thumb pouring out of the ceiling in the middle of my living room. Because I was on the second floor, it didn't do more than soak the living room rug and halfway up the hall before it fell through to the first-floor apartment, where it filled up the apartment until it overflowed the track on a sliding glass door and ran out.

Oh, that reminds me: I need to insulate my floors, too...
