Well i deffinetly dont know what marysueness means. I have read some homestuck , but i havent gotten to the part were the trolls come into play yet. Everything i know about them , is from my very best friend , who has a troll sona who is the mother of this troll. The multicolored eyes are inherited from her mother or i guess.Lusus as she calls it. I do know the whites are sposta be yellow tho. The hair is dyed. Her natural color is black like her moms. . Getting into oc details , her mother and father were originally foxs. Her father changed there oc from a male fox to a female troll sona. Big change. So kaitie was originally a fox that i turned into a troll. Hence the fox tail. Hope i cleared some stuff up about her.

So ya im new to homestuck , dont know much. This is infact the first real picture of her aside from fox pics and a comic style pic , so sorry if she doesent follow the fandom perfectly.

Ah, I'm glad there's a reason for the hair thing. I see wayyyyy too many people make it their "natural color" also, trolls are insects, and are typically self-raised or by lusus, no mothers or fathers are involved with the breeding either. here are some tips for making it fit better with canon: if she is not a mutant, she should have slightly darker blood, maybe cobalt like vriska. trolls cannot have heterochromia (two different color eyes) unless of a defect/accident and the "whites" of their eyes are always yellow. trolls cannot be turned from other animals, only have slight characteristics like one (ex. eridan has a seahorse lusus so he has fins and lives underwater, nepeta's lusus is a cat so she has cat eyes and small fangs and wears a tail accessory). A lusus is the animal that represents them (which are always solid white). so she maybe should have something like canine-like eyes and fox-ish shaped horns and fangs. also, all trolls have 12 letter names, 6 for the first and 6 for the last (porrim maryam, feferi peixes) so add one more letter to her name so it will fit. your friend may not have read that much on homestuck either. I could make a drawing of a more story-accurate version of your troll.
Anyways; what mary-sue means: a mary-sue is a character that breaks all canon so it can work in the story for the author's sake. like take ebony from my immortal, THAT is a prime example of mary-sue. mary-sues are very frown upon in the fanfiction/OC community so it takes a bit of revising before you can get it right.

Actually, I'll have you know im up to date on Homestuck, and my fan troll is up to snuff, thanks for asking, however, let the girl be, we don't know what hussie will do in regards to Human X Troll mechanics, or how them having kids would work, all we know for the sake of Troll breeding is that sentinels controlled by the Condesce collect genetic material from mature alterian's to be used by the mother grub to spawn more grubs. However, that is all that is know, so consider laying off as Fanon is a big thing in HS considering all the wibbly wobbly timey wimey bullshit. So just cause she doesn't fit in the alpha doesn't mean that in some far off reaching timeline, trolls and anthromorphic animals didn't have babies together, That is the biggest freaking thing with fanon.

Every troll has their own typing quirk, Karkat always types in caps as if he's screaming. Nepeta uses :33 at the beginning of each sentence to simulate her lusus which is a cat with 2 mouths. Gamzee is basically you're stoner clown that types like this. mOtHeRfUcKiNg MiRaClEs


The key to making a good troll is try not to copy any of the canon trolls in anyway except well blood colour, you need to be unique and proud of your troll. For a lusus for my fantroll I looked up constalations, his Lusus is a peacock and the troll himself is very flamboyant like a peacock when they show their feathers.

Thanks :3 i should figure a way to incorporate her fox lusus into how she types its a good idea. Her personality is like an arctic fox . Beautiful and a bit mysterious but very playful and dainty. She loves pouncing her squiddle plushies and friends as if shes a fox pouncing for the hunt.

You could do something with the fox tail in type like after typing she always puts the symbol ~ or something. Kind of like a fox moving its tail, I'm not sure if you'd even like that but I think it's a super cute idea.

Thats actually what i was thinking. Incorporating her tail into it. I hadent thought of that symbol but i like it!
