In a distant galaxy, far away from Earth, sat a column made of crystal. While it have looked like the topper to a wedding cake, this monument served as a warp pad to the distant Gem Homeworld. However, something, or someone, had damaged the warp pad beyond repair, or so it seemed. The warp pad began to flicker, as if someone was attempting to come through it. While the signal was weak, the pad was able to transmit one Gem. As the light died down, a massive being stepped out of its' light. This creature glowed a bright orange with red stripes down her face and arms. Many would consider her an alien, but to the Gem Homeworld, she was simply known as Jasper, a Gem with mercenary-like power and ruthlessness.
"Hmmmm. This place looks archaic. How could Gems ever have used such primitive technology? " Jasper said to herself as she put her fingers up to hear, as if to get in contact with someone. "Peridot, is this the location you saw those traitors?" "Yes, Jasper." a voice said through a small speaker, beginning to get flustered." The three Gems, along with something that called itself a...."Steven," have been tampering with the Galaxy Warp and on top of that, they've been destroying my plug robanoids. Errrrr, THEY KEEP DESTROYING MY THINGS!"
"Give it a rest, Peridot!" Jasper said in frustration. "You've cried about your toys for long enough. I'm here to see the damage for myself." Jasper began to look around, but felt a sharp pain through her body. "Ahhhhhh! Y....You again!?" she groaned in agony as her hand began to reach her face against great resistance. "No! This is MY BODY NOW....." Jasper exclaimed her arm began tugging on her face. It stretched and pulled as her voice became warbled and distorted.
SCHLORP!
Jasper's face came off to reveal it as a mask. Underneath, was a boy with long blue hair, short of breath and panting from his struggle. "N.....no!" he wheezed. "I...I will not let you return to Earth to destroy it." "Give it up, you little parasite." he said in Jasper's voice. "I've been in control ever since you found my gem and turned it into a pendant. Unsuspecting fool! How could a "human" even understand that coming in contact with a Gem, even in its' dormant form, can transfer its' essence into the holder's body. Give it up, Cody! Your body belong to me!"
"No! I....I refuse to be a part of your plans." Cody struggled to say, feeling Jasper's control regain its' grip over him. "Laine......Ashley.....Ced.....I WON'T LET YOU MAKE THEM VICTIMS OF YOUR WAR!" Sadly, it was too late, Cody could only watch from the inside as Jasper regained control over his body. "Human emotions, how pathetic!" Jasper laughed to herself. "Look at what you've become thanks to me." She flexed Cody's right arm to show off incredible muscle tone. "With the use of your Earth-based technology, along with my Gem-based integration, I've forged you a new body, stronger than any earthly metal, and lighter than your precious air. Strength, speed, stamina and most importantly, absolute power. All of these are but a few things I have given your weak flesh-covered body, aside from the necessary makeover into my own form. I have made you something that can never get hurt, sick or even die. I've made you a Gem!"
Jasper put the mask back on as it locked into place for the last time and looked at her reflection in a pool of liquid. She knew that her latest conquer would be one that would ensure her a body she could inhabit for a very, very long time. "Jasper! Come in Jasper! What's going on there?" Peridot said impatiently. "Nothing at all, Peridot. Just had a little meeting of the minds....and it felt so good to say goodbye to that dead weight with all his human emotions." Jasper said in a wicked tone, pleased that she had exiled Cody's consciousness to the corners of her own twisted and battle thirsty mind.
"Bring the brat and the ship ready...." Jasper said as she got back on the Galaxy Warp. "We're taking a trip to Earth. I want to see Rose Quartz's face when she sees me decimate everything and everyone she holds dear on that floating rock she calls home."
Jasper vanished in the Galaxy Warp, and the rest as they say....is history.
