Just an uplifting trance track I started writing around 2-3 days ago. Will hopefully finish this later. An experiment on writing a melody in strict pentatonic scales.
Anyway, just taking an opportunity to ramble a bit... On Fur Affinity, I'm probably one of very few electronic artists who took trance music very seriously. I'm still a little hurt with one of the comments on Twitter I received last year. About the fact that my trance music quality is still "subpar", hence why no DJs would want to include my tracks on their sets yet. I was so angry, I wrote strings upon strings of tweets ranting about the fact that I write trance music not to make money or try to compete against those tranceheads out there, but out of a genuine love for trance music and generally to entertain my fans who also happen to be trance music listeners.
This is pretty much one of the reasons why I decided that I won't seek out to be signed to an electronic record label. I chose to remain unsigned, because I strongly believe that everyone has the right to write music the way they see fit and how they can reach their audience through their own music, not being restricted to what the record companies demand.
On to this track itself... Originally, I was thinking of calling this track "Asian Crisis" or even "Krisis". The pentatonic scale is often stereotyped as Asian-sounding, due to being extremely common in Chinese music and is a common feature of many Asian music. Eventually, I picked "Tenggara". "Tenggara" is the Malay and Indonesian word for "southeast". Actually, I even thought of calling it "Asia Tenggara", the Malay name of Southeast Asia, where I live.

I like some trance, but many trance tracks are to over-booming and very very uninspired , read as boring. This changes and evolves well, not sticking to a single booming beat and unchanging melody but holds the beat thru the evolution of the track. The track changes enough, yet keeps the theme well enough to be interesting and fresh, not just a loop and loop and loop and loop that never changes so they call it trance. This is a good if not Very good trance track with evolution of the track thru out the music. All in all worth having in a collection.
Thanks! =) Well, I hope that it'll sound a lot better once I get to finish this track soon. Avoiding my tracks from sounding too overbooming and very uninspired is part of my music-writing policy -- I want every part of my track to sound fresh and interesting.
Unfortunately, it's true that monotonous beats and unchanging melodies are why this music genre is even called "trance" in the first place. =/ Some people actually still like that old form of trance, back when it used to be way more repetitive than today's trance.

Awesome work, as always! If anyone tells you you are anything less than an amazing trance artist, they're either trolling or just jealous of your skills, and they're dead wrong! The quality of your work is outstanding to say the least! I love your style, I could listen to your music all day every day. Just keep doing what you do best and don't let anyone get you down! =^.^=
Thanks! =) Well, my big weakness is that I tend to take way too long just to finish one trance track, sometimes months, even years. x_x Most professionals can produce one in just 1-2 days, sometimes even less than an hour! O_o
Then again, I took all that time spent in making sure that my tracks are perfect. Even after I finished a track, I don't upload them immediately; I took an additional 1-2 days listening to it over and over again to make sure that everything is perfect.
