This was sorta just for fun piece. Myself as if I were a dog. I generally imagined him to be a sort of border collie, mini australian shepherd mix/mutt. Surprisingly between canine and rodent little has changed. He’s still a smallish breed and always nervous. I'm not too pleased on how it came out. It's been awhile since I had a chance to practice drawing and I think the pose shows it.

I also drew this because despite using a rat for an icon many don’t actually consider me to be very ratty. More often than not I get tossed a collar instead of cheese, generally I get pegged as a good dog. I can see their point of view. Aside from being rather differential and submissive I always feel compelled to do the right thing regardless.

Honestly it’s a trait that kinda bothers me. I don’t even feel tempted to act selfishly, it’s practically an automated response. I always tell myself later I should be more selfish, more opportunistic, not out of any angst but just as a matter of practicality.

But every single time someone has dropped a fifty in the back of aisle 3 and is halfway into their car I’ll run out and hand it to them practically with the paper and their slippers in tow.

I might not like dogs but it seems the collar is snug and the leash pulls taught.
