Long before the war, before the Ascensions devastating release of magic. There was a city created by a wise dragon who loved to entertain others with the arts. Music, poetry, theater, and sculpting, all these things were represented here, and the cities greatest achievement, was the dragons very own simulacrum.

This simulacrum would be fed musical lines, sonnets, and plays, which would then control beautifully handcrafted life size puppets to entertain all who came.

Time was not kind though, the dragon gone, the city partially buried in rubble and nature. Yet the show must go on.

Ponies have ventured to this city, or what is left of it, searching for the famed simulacrum. Not many have returned, rumored to have been made part of the audience or worse, part of the cast. For those survivors that do make it out alive, tales of horrific grins and porcelain limbs grasping in the dark to take away the unwary spread quickly from pub to pub.

This is the creature conceptual image being used in the RPG "ROAN" a pulp action adventure tabletop rpg book being written by myself and featuring an international group of artists, many of whom you all may know within the pony fandom and even outside of it!

Roan aims to give players a pulp action embroiled with dog fighting planes, fantastical airships, and magic. A mix of medieval elements along with the roaring 20s and ww2 40s early 50s tech, fashion, and armor!
