Well what do you know, I shipped my favorite male characters. Am I a Guild Wars 2 fangirl now? XD

Here you see two original characters I've created in the game Guild Wars 2. They're charr, a fictional race that's mostly feline but has some twists like horns and extra ears. And proportions that I still don't seem to have gotten quite right. >.>

In front is Ancaran Greatsoul, and hugging him is Drakel Feathertouch. Every day they struggle to find peace in a land ravaged by conflict. With each other, these hardened fighters have a chance to feel soft and act sweetly, even as the world around them demands hostility. Their love gives them hope that someday, Tyria's endless state of battle will calm, and light will win out over darkness.

My shading remains simplistic, but at least I got a few cool shadows out of it. :) I took one look at that flowing hair and decided to do a very approximate job on the lighting and shading. Best not to overexert myself. ^^; The background is also simply a colored paper texture that my art program, Mischief, provided for me. And if Drakel's fur pattern seems a little crazy, well, ArenaNet designed it that way, not me. I wouldn't draw all that by choice. :P (Except I did. Hmm.)

Overall, I'm proud of this piece! So good to have finally done some Guild Wars 2 fan art. ^^
