It sucks when you fall for the gal you're hunting, or the gal hunting you --particularly when you've got to stake your badge (or your reputation) on bringing the other one down.
Alice pledged to clean the streets with her fellow detectives. Scarlett swore the cops'd find the thylacine's corpse floatin' down the river by the end of the week. Both can't seem to bring themselves to pull the trigger.
Expect to see more art of these two together in the future. I love the opposing ideology and style they have, and the flustered desire the two share despite their lines of work.
