Here I get to show how shorts and tank top actually work when you have wings and a tail in the way! I decided to let the wing membrane really go down that tail, which ended up impairing my ability to cover his back, but it's okay! He just buttoned a little thingy under his tail. He could have a belt loop or something where that bottom strip of the tank top holds up his shorts, conveniently covered up by wing membrane so I don't have to decide, of course.
Shading continues to mystify me somewhat, but at least I made things look kind of cool. Light turns out to be a really useful tool for adding texture and depth to those lovely wings. Now if only I could settle on where the light source is!
I'm really happy with how this one turned out! And I'd better be, after spending many hours on it. :P This was made with the art program Mischief. I'd recommend it if you're looking for something that's inexpensive but works with a drawing tablet.
