Thanks, I think all this pressure to draw all the damn time has been beneficial. It's exciting to think I'm actually making progress.

I see a lot more sharp corners and angles stuck into the newer versions of the first three (looks good that way) except for the last one, which seems reversed.

I was thinking the same thing about the last one. The character's nose also increased in size, making him look like a completely different species.

It's all ridiculously solid, either way, haha.

Nice. Interesting how things evolve-sometimes by themselves-as you continue to experiment and grow.
The second versions of each characters are a lot more confident and defined as well.

I'll admit, the HC2 designs have a much more define and distanct look, making it better in visual quality compared to HC1. However, I think the style itself has changed a bit too much for my tastes. It looks like as if HC2 had actually taken a more simplified/cartoon look than the first HC, which I'm too used to seeing the former style in the original. I'm not saying it's bad, I'm sure HC2 will still be great in the end, but I would have personally preferred the original concepts designs. But that's just my opinion after all, heh. :3

Well in a broader sense, it's not so much that I'm changing Heathen City's designs as I am growing and progressing as an artist. I cant speak for your tastes, but I think the second book will have a much more confident and visually coherent look than the first had.

Is that the new look for the tiger or is that his dad? I think he looks more confident in the HC2 version.

The older drawings of Ruy were very uneducated and decidedly un-tiger like. I clearly had done no research whatsoever and rushed through many of the designs.
Ruy in his current incarnation looks much more feline.
