I've only read the thing about white ravens after seeing this pic! ;_;

It's even sadder because white ravens aren't even that rare- they just rarely make it to adulthood because the mothers often kill them when they hatch, and others bully them. They never get to mate because nobody of their own kind likes white ravens either. As a person who's always loved ravens and thought they are always social towards their own kind, this hurt.

In German you call a bad mother a "Rabenmutter" which literally means "Raven Mother". I guess only in this case it makes sense, when she hates and abuses her child only for looking different. The white raven isn't even handicapped or weaker than others or anything.

I do wonder what happens when you get two white ravens to meet, though! :U Whether they'd get along. Or even mate.

Anyway, I love this picture so much, especially seeing the kind of similar faces of the two. You can see the pain behind their faces and the wish for companionship. They're made for one another. <3

I feel for those who don't fit into this world, like these two here. Just because someone has a different complexion or happens to be in the lowest class of human society, it doesn't mean you should treat them like dirt. They live and breathe and have the same feelings as you and I do.
