Some sketchwork of Zeph, definitely a personal favorite character, more than all my furry ones at least. I haven't been in the mood to draw anthro things for some time now. Maybe I'm moving on, maybe its surfeit, but aliens, <3 forever. Zeph can fly, float, glide, swim, and walk. Limbs can be grown or shed quickly depending on environment, as ey is a highly morphable species.
Zeph has a long standing, and will be my representative/ aliensona/ whatever until the anthro mood strikes me again.
I thought I would post something here at least, even if it isn't furry.

I think of Zoras when I see him.
More intricate, deadly and more interesting version.
But it doesn't matter if it's not 'furry'. Essentially, furs are anthropomorphic, and what you have here (and what you were used to drawing before going to more furry creatures) is essentially the same thing. =)
I'm glad to see more of your underwater characters come to light. I'm still superbly jealous of your talent.

Thanks.
Em is correct in objective case. Ey/E is also correct in subjective case. its just shortening of thEY/thEM/thEIR into e(y)/em/eir. I use spivak pronouns when referring to genderless entities such as this character.

That is going to far. No. Ey cannot... And would not either. Only superficial things like face and basic body shape can change. This species is totally asexual and genderless, and has absolutely no interest or need for sexuality, nor can they alter their reproductive method. which is cloning.
Well seeing how good the anthro form is I had to see the normal form and this is absolutely beautiful, the design is so unique, I have to say I have never seen an alien design quite like this. The mouth is a little reminiscent of others, but it is different and gives a lot of character for something that leaves it featureless, and the eyes, they are almost hypnotizing. Was there any particular design intention behind it or just for beauty and something different? Also I am struck again with the feeling of a deep oceanic look, but I would really love to see the aquatic version you spoke of as well.
I love the row of swimmerets along the tail, with all the complex markings it looks so convincing and real! Were you inspired at all by Anamalocaris or one of those other Cambrian animals? That's what it reminds me of somehow.
Very few artists go to this sort of detail when they design OCs, mostly it's like "I'm a fox but with two tails, a horn and purple fur!". Not like this. :)
